ESTEE LAUDER DOUBLE WEAR FOUNDATION-

Review and comments:

So I read a lot of good reviews on this foundation so I decided to give it a try. It’s about $36 so it’s not crazy expensive but it’s also not cheap. I was very disappointed with this product. I got what was supposed to be the “lightest” shade. I have pinkish undertones and I’m very fair skinned. I have light freckles which is what I want to cover. This foundation was very yellow. [I used the color bone] It had the most yellow pigment I have seen in a foundation. I have normal to dry skin so for that this worked but I also believe this foundation caused a reaction. I NEVER HAVE A NEGATIVE REACTION. This is supposed to be full coverage but I would say it’s light to medium. It wears off rather quickly as well. It’s not something I would recommend to people.

This product is a liquid foundation. I purchased it for about $36. I have been using this as an every day foundation over my primer. It’s medium to full coverage. I really love this foundation. I’m the lightest shade which is a little bit light for me but It works perfectly because I can use a setting powder with a little bit of color. I’ve noticed that this foundation doesn’t oxidize on my skin and it stays put. This is long lasting but with these positives there’s a negative. I’m not 100% sure if it’s this or my concealer but it tends to cling a little bit to dry spots. Not a lot though. It’s worth that con. It isn’t cakey at all and has the most beautiful finish. I use a beauty blender to blend this out and apply it with a stippling brush. I would definitely re purchase this foundation because it’s the best that I’ve found so far.

When I first saw reviews on these beauty sponges I didn’t get the hype. I didn’t understand why people were so excited about them. I wanted to get one several times to see for myself why people loved them. I was curious to see if they did what everyone claimed they would do. I looked at some online to see the prices and they were $30! That’s insane for a beauty sponge. Especially when I could get a pack of regular sponges for like $3. As I was browsing Target I found one for $10. That was a lot cheaper but it didn’t look like the original beauty blenders and it didn’t look durable at all. Plain and simple, it looked extremely cheap. After a while I kind of forgot about this hype and moved on. A few months later I happened to be in the beauty section at Walmart. I found one of these beauty sponges and was very excited. I decided to go see how much it cost expecting it to be $10+. When the scanner rang it up it came out to $4.97. I was so excited and decided to give it a try. Ever since I’ve had it I fell in love with it. It blends out foundation evenly and flawlessly. It’s pointed at both ends and can get into those hard to reach places. The finish is absolutely beautiful and it gives it a natural look. It doesn’t absorb all of the foundation or take it all off either. I use this on a daily basis and couldn’t be happier. If you ever come across this it’s definitely something to purchase. You won’t regret it. All the things said about these things were true. And the good thing about this is that if you keep up with it, it’ll stay in good condition for a long time.

Cleaning it: Take some baby shampoo or dial soap and rub it through it and gently scrub it throughout and squeeze absorbed water out and rinse.
